Bio: Martine Rottink is a Coastal Engineer from the Netherlands, based at Tonkin+Taylor in Auckland. She has a background in Civil Engineering and holds a Master of Science degree in Coastal Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Science Communication, both from the Technical University of Delft. She has approximately 5 years of professional experience, working for technical consultancies, both in the Netherlands and in New Zealand. She moved to Auckland in 2024 and joined the coastal team of Tonkin+Taylor. She is passionate about analysis and modelling of coastal processes, specifically around the Pacific. Furthermore, she is eager to contribute to local capacity building in relation to flood risks through training and stakeholder engagement.
