Bio: I am a Natural Hazard Analyst and coastal geomorphologist who is passionate about our coastal environment. I am currently working to improve the resilience of Otago's communities through the analysis and monitoring of natural hazards and risk. My current areas of focus are coastal hazards, other geomorphic hazards, and flood hazards. My MSc was in Coastal Geomorphology, within the School of Geography at the University of Otago. My thesis investigated the contemporary processes and origins of Te Taero a Kereopa/Te Tahuna a Tama-i-ea The Nelson Boulder Bank. Supervised by Wayne Stephenson (University of Otago) and Warren Dickinson (Victoria University). As a passionate outdoorsman, I enjoy surfing, mountain biking, climbing and hiking, which has given me a great respect for our environment. I am also a musician. I currently live in Ōtepoti Dunedin, but originally from Waiheke Island in Tīkapa Moana Hauraki Gulf.
