Bio: Ryan is a professionally registered engineer with nine years of experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Cape Town and has recently completed a research masters in coastal engineering at the Stellenbosch University. He has experience in civil and coastal design, contract documentation, project management and implementation of projects.

After spending two years in civil construction in Zambia, he joined PRDW Port and Consulting Engineers on a wide range of projects where he specialised in the design and specification of hydraulic structures for the abstraction and delivery of water predominately in the coastal zone as well as providing for port service facilities. He has also been involved in concept designs for port quay structures, single buoy mooring facilities as well as port & entrance channel layouts.

Ryan joined the Stantec, Wellington, NZ water team in 2019 and has been involved in a variety of projects such as the Tarakohe Port Upgrades, a condition assessment of the Hastings District Outfall as well as being part of the team for the Wellington Cross Harbour Pipeline & Seaview WWTP Alternate Outfall.
