NZCS Administrator Vacancy - Fixed Term

The New Zealand Coastal Society is looking for an administrator extraordinaire! If you have a passion for the coastal environment, or are studying coastal and marine sciences, engineering or planning, and have a great background in administration or marketing and communications, then this position may be for you.

This position would suit an individual who may be studying or looking for part time work that is well organised and able to work independently. The role will require the individual to work remotely to provide assistance to the current NZCS administrative team. Duties include website development, newsletter collation, general query and membership request handling, committee support and organisation, and event administration and coordination. This role is a fixed term position for 6-12 months commencing February 2019 working casual hours on an as required basis.

To be a successful candidate you will require the following:

  • Confident use of the Microsoft Office Suite, and Google products eg. Gmail and GoogleDrive;
  • Expert time management skills and very well organised;
  • Great customer service and friendly can-do attitude;
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills;
  • A driven and motivated approach to your role;
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Previous knowledge of committee or meeting organisation including agenda collation and minute collecting.
