PACON 2008: Energy and Climate Change

Honolulu, Hawaii, June 1-5, 2008

PACON International cordially invites papers for presentation at PACON 2008: Energy and Climate Change. Accepted abstracts will be compiled and published as the PACON 2008 Program & Abstracts Book. Please contact PACON at pacon@hawaii.edu or check our website www.hawaii.edu/pacon for Abstract Guidelines and Submittal Form.

PACON 2008 will be held at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 1-5, 2008. The newly renovated hotel is located just outside the Waikiki resort area and adjacent to Ala Moana Center, Hawaii's largest shopping center with over 260 stores, restaurants, and food court.
PACON 2008 will host two theme sessions; one on "Energy" and one on "Climate Change."
As the theme of PACON 2008 suggests, the list of Technical Sessions is a comprehensive program to include (subject to change):

PACON 2008 will host the fourth annual Student Poster Session. The Cecilia Hsi Saxena Award will be given to a maximum of six (6) best student posters presented at PACON 2008. Award and application details will be on our website pacon@hawaii.edu soon.

Special PACON 2008 full registration rates are available for residents of the State of Hawaii, residents of ASEAN countries, and the Primary Author Presenter. Please see the PACON 2008 Call for Papers on our website, www.hawaii.edu/pacon. Exhibit information may be obtained by contacting pacon@hawaii.edu.

Papers presented by the primary author and recommended by the session chair will be invited for the review process and possible inclusion in the P08 refereed publication.

The Pacific Congress on Marine Science and Technology (PACON International) is a professional organization that provides a unique public means for effective information exchange among diverse groups. The principal aim of PACON is to create greater public awareness of scientific and technological advances and to promote their inclusion in the establishment of scientific advances, in commercial strategies for sound industry development, and in effective policy formulation for sustainable social and environmental progress in the region.
